Titus Bramble ia a powerful centre-half who joined Newcastle on a five-year deal from Ipswich Town in July 2002 for around £5m.
Bramble joined Ipswich as a trainee and made his league debut on 20th December 1998 against Sheffield United, whilst only 17 years old. Bramble made 62 appearances in total for Ipswich, scoring four goals. He then had a short spell on loan at Colchester in 1999/2000, appearing in two matches, before establishing himself in the Ipswich side during the 2000/01 season where he helped newly premoted Town to a fifth place finish in the Premiership. Titus struggled with an injury limiting his appearances to 22 in 2001-02 and Ipswich slipped out of the Premiership, which despite a good run in the UEFA Cup.
Bramble however striggled to make an impact in his first season at United, and only played 21 games all season for Toon after some high-profile errors and Jonathan Woodgate' arrival. Titus will be hoping that he can make an impact next season and force himself into the side again.
Titus is also an England Under-21 international and got his name on the international scoresheet with a header against Georgia in August 2000, and is a bright prospect for England and for Newcastle, and his best performances are yet to come.
